Dr. Stephen P. Esposito earned his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from the Health Science Center at Syracuse School of Medicine in Syracuse, New York. He completed his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York.

Dr. Stephen P. Esposito is a diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology, having completed board certification and subsequent recertification in the field. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology and holds a license to practice medicine in the State of New York. Additionally, he is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Stephen P. Esposito completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at New York Hospital-Queens (formerly Booth Memorial Medical Center) in Flushing, New York. He also completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.
